The building can be read as a single environment, in which the few volumes which emerge from the base surface are responsible for articulating the space, all the while ensuring perceptive continuity and unity. The visual emergences almost always consist of furnishings: for the living room, a stone parallelogram works as fireplace; a central island functions as kitchen, a table and a sofa. In the bedroom, the bed and the bathroom ceramics. All elements remain beneath the line of eyesight, which is therefore free to dance around the room. The few exceptions are a few walls and the cement volume which hides the set of stairs connecting the two floors of the building. The project, which uses few materials, explores the chromatic gradations of gray, white and black. On the ground floor, the exception to this rule are the crema fiorito stone floors and a wall made with blocks of split dark rock, which extends from the entrance gate until it turns into the solid walls of the house, penetrating deep inside the living room area to create the immediate relation between indoors and outdoors. The stair landing leading to the upper floor looks out on a double volume with a view to the living room and distributes the rooms, in which the highlighted color is cream: it becomes prevalent in the bathroom, where the same stone used in the flooring is employed to line all surfaces, including the monolithic horizontal plane that is the washing basin. The building's outer materials are reduced to a minimum: visible reinforced concrete and crystal, dosed in inverted proportions on two levels. On the ground floor, transparent surfaces abound, while the upper floor appears to be solid and monolithic, slightly overhanging the lower floor, with only three openings. The outdoor colors decidedly move towards the warm shades of yellow and brown: the split wall matches the stone paving in accordance with the internal area, the dark sett paving and the wooden beam floor which lead from the living room to the swimming pool.
