Marmomacc 2007. Best Communicator Award
Best Communicator Award to Kengo Kuma’s stand, IL CASONE
“For his genius in utilizing a simple modular sheet to create delicate themes which promote a dialogue between light and form; for his effectiveness in softening a material which by nature is heavy and to have bestowed an expressive characteristic to a monochromatic material; for the richness of its volume, for the ironic use of video communication which creates a playful illusion of a castle of playing cards.” … it is for these reasons that the Best Communicator Award jury, during Marmomacc 2007, awarded its top prize to the stand called IL CASONE, designed by the Japanese architect Kengo Kuma.

The Best Communicator Award, being presented for the first time this year, is one that the Directors of Marmomacc have great hopes for. The objective is the sensitize exhibitors to the value of their stands in relation to brand image and to increase the impact of their corporate message towards future commercial development.
IL CASONE represents a joyful artistic union of Kengo Kuma’s work who also designed the “module”, one of ten projects presented at “Marmomacc Meets Design”. He reached his objective by offering a space which displays value, both enveloping and engaging, where stone is the undisputed protagonist.
