Three exclusive locations for IL CASONE Pietra Serena during Milan's design week
Superstudiopiù, Superstudio 13 and the new showroom recently opened in Via Tiraboschi, 8 – these are the three locations in Milan that will be displaying IL CASONE stone during Fuorisalone 2010 from April 13th to April 19th.
Let’s start with the BHC showroom, which will remain open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., displaying a highly select range of materials for surfaces for architects and designers, including IL CASONE stone in a setting conceived and created to meet the specific needs of designers.
BHC, Via Tiraboschi, 8, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.Green Fire, an exterior area conceived as an extension of a private, indoor fitness room, came out of the collaboration with the Milan studio, Verde Architettura. The setting forms part of the HOME & SPA DESIGN exhibition and will be created in an area normally used as a car park by Superstudio 13 in Via Forcella, 13.
The rigidity and fundamental structure of Pietra Serena, together with the warmth of the wood, define the dominant character of this space, which showcases a free and innovative way of living in the open air.
A floating floor with a grid of macro strips of Pietra Serena incorporates the most representative and surprising elements of AK-47 design.
The IL CASONE DeckingStone floor system allows dry placement and the completely free use of Pietra Serena slabs, even in areas with irregular dimensions.
With this project, Verde Architettura is seeking to present a new concept of open space to the public of Fuori Salone, rooted in the search for quality in the elements that comprise it, in which the recovery of the natural element in everyday city life is a determining factor.
Superstudio 13, Via Forcella 13Two settings have been created by the architectural studio UAINOT using Pietra Serena.
On behalf of the Corradi Group, an Italian company operating in the furniture coverings and outdoor furnishings market, UAINOT has created an open-air picnic area in the garden of Superstudio Più to present its latest ideas for 2010. In Via Tortona, 27, an exhibition area of 500 square metres is covered with a Scottish Tartan pattern formed of stone, wood and grass, where alternation and ensemble compose the macro design in imitation of tartan, and where the perpendicular lines become pathways to an encounter with the world of Corradi.
Superstudio Più, via tortona 27Finally, still inside Superstudio Più: the exclusive location of the Elle Decor Caffé. The store, now in its twentieth year, offers a temporary bar, designed by UAINOT, in a setting revisiting two decades of flair in design. The exterior area is a terrace, designed for relaxation and taking a break, with an intentionally neutral background surface. The flooring is in IL CASONE Pietra Serena and Colombino, with polished and sanded finishes, chosen to embrace two different shades of grey. An application that confirms the versatility of this material, for which ever more applications in exteriors are being discovered, due to its ability to meet the needs of designers in terms of aesthetics and performance.
