The project to promote natural stone in the USA
Natural stone and the world of construction in the USA: a perfect union according to Marmomacc who has taken on this ambitious project. In order to promote the use of stone materials in America, Marmomacc recently created a training program at several local universities. The objective is to promote a greater understanding of the peculiarities of natural stone such as its durability over time.
Some of the initiatives that have already taken place include a seminar geared towards architects specifically on the sustainability of marble. The formal training that will take place in 2009 will include courses on natural stone taught by professors from some of the U.S.’s leading universities.
This initiative enforces Marmomacc’s place on the international stage as a combining force between the world of natural stone extraction and that of designers.
