The Department of Architecture inaugurates Palazzo Tassoni
The grand hall of Palazzo Tassoni, recently restored by the Department of Architecture of Ferrara, will be inaugurated on December 11th culminating in a high profile cultural event with a distinguished guest list. The symposium hopes to bring closer together traditionalists and researchers of antique civilization to contemporary architects who have become well known based on their body of work.
The event is organized by Alfonso Acocella, Ordinary Professor of the Technology of Architecture, in the Department of Architecture, at the University of Ferrara. He is one of the foremost experts in Italy with regards to the use and understanding of stone materials. The event, sponsored by IL CASONE, will include three events. A conference will discuss the relationship between the antique and contemporary and an exhibit called ROSSOITALIANO - terracotta tiles from the antique to the contemporary will be held. Finally a concert will also be held by musicians from the Girolamo Frescobaldi Conservatory of Ferrara.
